  • Call for 2024 Awards of Excellence

    Our Chapter is pleased to announce the 2024 Awards of Excellence. We invite the STTI Gamma Omega at Large Chapter community to nominate candidates for these awards which celebrate: Excellence in Nursing Research Award, Excellence in Nursing Education Award, Excellence in Nursing Practice Award, Excellence in Nursing Leadership Award. Individuals can self-nominate. Candidates do not need to be STTI members. Please visit the link for more information. Nominations are open through April 14, 2024.

  • Call for 2023 Fall Leadership Intern Fellowship

    Are you ready to make a positive difference in your community? Do you want to apply your leadership knowledge and skills into practice? Would you like to be mentored by other leaders in the nursing profession? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then the Leadership Intern Fellowship Program might be for you!

    Purpose:

    • The Leadership Intern Fellowship has been designed and implemented to promote mentoring of members to facilitate innovative and congruent chapter practices and to cultivate future chapter leaders.
    • In particular, the Leadership Intern Fellowship supports excellence in leadership practices by fostering interns to create and develop community and/or Chapter activities and initiatives
    • The Leadership Intern Fellow's tenure will last for one year and will be mentored by the Board Members of the Gamma Omega at-Large Chapter. 

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • Applicants don't have to be members of Sigma Theta Tau International Gamma Omega at-Large Chapter
    • Interest in enhancing leadership dexterity and expertise
    • Potential for and willingness to serve as a leader within the Chapter or at the regional level
    • The current Sigma Theta Tau International Gamma Omega at-Large Chapter board members are not eligible to apply and receive Leadership Intern Fellowship.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work on community and/or Chapter projects with mentors
    • Assist with membership involvement activities
    • Serve as a liaison to associated communities
    • Attend/support Board meetings
    • Other tasks as designated

    You will receive various benefits for your service including:

    • Financial support for Sigma Theta Tau International membership dues for one year
    • Ability to network with nurse leaders and researchers
    • Expand and broaden your leadership skills
    • Enhance your resume and curriculum vitae
    • Partial financial support attendance at one Sigma Theta Tau conference in the fellowship period
